legends (over 60), including ladies, retro and the famous Old Mal.

AUSSIE TITLES COMPETITORS AND ENTOURAGE

This is a must-do comp to hone your skills as a precursor to the 2008 AUSSIE LONGBOARD TITLES which start the following day here in the Port Macquarie area.
15-16-17 August 2008 is Mal Muster time at Rainbow Beach Bonny Hills.
This is the 19th year, and again provides a wide range of divisions to suit all age groups, including mystery, old mal and retro events.
Due to the close proximity, both geographically and time-wise, this year we envisage an influx of additional entries.
We recommend that if you are considering entering the comp that you get your entry in early, as numbers have been limited to all divisions.
WA, SA, VIC, TAS entrants should contact the MDM club secretary for a subsidised entry.
All competitors will receive one contest shirt and supplementary give away during the course of the event.
The Mal Muster is generally recognised as a fun comp.
Competitor numbers average around 150, with the first heat entering the water at 7.00am on the Friday.
Great food and liquid refreshments provided by the Mal de Mer chefs will be available at the beach all weekend.
During the three days of the competition there are various surf-related displays and random giveaways at the beach.
Night-time entertainment is at the Bonny Hills Beach Tavern, including the spectacular Friday night Longriders $2.00 raffle, where your tickets give you the chance to win a pick from the thousands of dollars worth of surf goods including a brand new B and D Longboard.
Sunday is Finals day, with the presentation at the tavern, where trophies and various prizes (accommodation, surf paraphernalia) are awarded to worthy recipients along with the traditional board raffle draw.
Check the Mal de Mer web site for comp updates: www.maldemer.org.au
And don't forget to mark next year's dates in your diary - 14/15/16 AUGUST

Come along and enjoy the Fun and friendship, coupled with great Longboard surfing action.
